Just checked online, no red sticks listed... oh well I guess I have to make the 10 hour drive to Austin one day.
He doesn't have that one posted ever. That's why I say just give him a call and see if you can smooth talk your way into getting a piece.

Big boy is back in the tank. I wanted to let the smaller angels and tangs get acclimated before releasing him back in. He's grown quite a bit in the tub... Looks like a manatee swimming in my tank.

He also went back to his echinata snacking ways. He took 2 or 3 small nibbles off my colony.

I've never really been an LPS guy so it was easier on me to get the angels. I do really like clams though but I went with having angels instead. Too bad they all can't get along.

I think my ultimate solution will be starting another tank for the angels...but that's going to require a bigger house...

Just in case anybody was wondering where the giant screaming green birdsnest and purple stylo colonies went.

Beginner SPS... gone!

I'll be adding a couple more rocks in that spot to increase the height a bit and then glue all colonies to their final locations and have a clear sandbed again. There will be some changes to SPS placement so be ready!

Man, that's some amazing growth... how long have they been in there?

I've have both probably 5 years now with extensive fragging. I would cut the birdsnest in half once it got to the size of a basketball and sell off frags 2x/year. The stylo, I'd pluck off all the tips on the same interval and sell them off as well. That was the main reason I kept them both so long, good cash crop. [emoji4]

Now, I just want the space back.

Both of those grow like weeds and you can grow a colony that size in about 1.5 years in a happy system.

The old cheater pose to manipulate perspective to make things look bigger[emoji4]. Do you do the same thing with fishing to make a nine inch bass look like a 25 inch bass. Just kidding, those are some legit large colonies.

Your tank is looking great by the way!

I was wondering why he had me hold up the stylo towards the camera. Haha.

Thank you sir. Yours as well. How big is your emperor now? Mine is at 6.5-7" and looking massive in there.

My emperor has to be at least 8-9 inches. He's a monster. Does your make a grunting sound? When mine gets mad at other fish, he makes a really loud noise. I can hear it from my kitchen and my tank is in my basement.
