Maybe its 3 heads lol

Neither piece are particularly note worthy hammer is your typical green and purple.

Torch is a “tonga gold” i think this was marketing gimmick lol.
I assume came from deeper waters than euphylia ive had before as i bleached it when i first got it lol. Recolored up to platinum purple color.
Both were around $30-40.
Forgive the algae, tried to simplify my tank care going just water changes and a skimmer for nutrient export lol. Corals are healthy but so is the gha my herbivores dont touch lol.

We’re in the same algae cage bro. It’s a fight. Hard to run the lights we have and expect perfection.

I hate to say this, as it depends on the type even within the genus.

Most will say chalices grow slow but I have a pink b****** that is growing an inch surrounding the diameter a month right now, same with an og mummy.

I have an acan that has added, and nearly fully grown, 9 new heads off of 3 heads in the last 1.5 months.

I have a trachy that's increased length by 2" in the last 2 months.

My goni is potentially the fastest growing I have in my LPS dedicated tank with about 10 new heads and a significant amount of calcification (which is the true mark of fast growth) in the last 2 months.

My leptos are growing very fast at about 1"ish surrounding diameter a month and encrusting rapidly.

I also have this really gnarly acanthastrea favia that is potentially the fastest growing lps I've seen doing about 2" a month.... This thing is absolutely insane.

Just depends on how you look at it I guess. Some people focus on head count but a new coral will bust out heads real quick after being fragged. It's really more about how fast can this calcify and create more skeleton for more heads. That's the true mark imo.

My fastest LPS is definitly my frogspawn. Started with 1 head. Have 15ish now. Been about 1 year. Fastest SPS(since we have alot of them in here also, lol) my green elkhorn. Went from a 1in frag, to a golf ball, in 6 months, then almost dies out from being overtaken by algae, to about the size of a baseball(about a year later) with many many frags being made(by fish, bc it's so delicate)

Fastest growing I’ve ever seen is the hollywood stunner chalice. I swear it grew 1/2” per day. went from a 1” frag to a stack of serving platters sized in less than a year. Mean mothers too. Would sting or overgrow literally anything.

This is my red acan from March 11th. It had 7 head on it and was about an inch long. It has survived through tank changes, brown jelly, being tossed around the tank. Being pecked on by 4 different fish which got returned to the lfs, and dropped in my carpet nem.

I’ve kept and killed my fair share of LPS. RIP trachy. I saw a cheap 2 head trumpet at my LFS for really cheap. Never was really a fan but liked the neon green color. So I got it. Share your pics and/or experience with LPS.

I have a 4 head trumpet that I've had for about 3 months. I just moved it to a spot that it absolutely loves. I just noticed that 3 of the heads now have 2 mouths. Didn't know that meant it was splitting. Can't wait to see it.
