I have a colony of Favia coming in on Friday, and I’d like to know if I’d be able to place it on the sand. What is the best placement? I’ve read that it would grow faster if it was placed on a flat surface such as a rock. But what do you guys think?

You might get a different answer from a better source, but I’ve always placed them mid to low in the tank (I’m guessing PAR but It was likely less than 150). ...flow: light -medium (like”below” the source, not in front)

I think on the sand would be fine if you leave it attached to the frag plug. Mine definitely got happier once I moved it lower in the tank.
