Stunning fish as a juvi, but just doesn't hold the same luster as an adult. IMO Quite a few marine fish are like this, kind of disappointing to be honest.
Yes I agree as adults they blah out a quite a bit. I got him at 2” and love the transition stages. As soon as he finishes transitioning he will be rehomed.Stunning fish as a juvi, but just doesn't hold the same luster as an adult. The trick is to tell each of them that they're your favorite without the others hearing. At least that's what I do with my kids and it's worked out well so far.I can't pick one, the rest would get jealous.
Just bought one yesterday! Algae blenny jumped ship (through egg crate lid) so improving lid. He’s already so friendly. A little too comfortable on my gyres which I’ll have to cover.Starry blenny hands down.
Tons of personality, great at eating algae, and can change colors to match it's mood. Every one I've ever owned is so docile they eat out of my hand.
My wife has called every one The "Old Man". Because when they are super happy, they go almost completely white with bright white "eye brows", and reminds my wife of a little old man.
I scored mine at $350(Nice, @Lizalots... Saw two Gem Tangs today at two different stores in Orlando; each were priced at $999.00)
