Now this is my two cents so everyone will have an opinion of it. Depending on how large and how old your tank is. I have always found that spot feeding on a newer or smaller tank has kept my nitrates down no matter how much I feed my fish and corals. With that being said I very lightly shoot mysis shrimp right at there mouths so I know they eat. Selcon is a fatty acid for fish food and gets my corals and fish going nuts to eat. I only use a little bit for my coral food. Its pretty cheap and works wonders!

I put some tank water in a cup, add Reef Roids, then add a frozen cube of mysis. Let the mysis thaw in the roided up water. Turn off powerhead, and use a turkey baster to spot feet their mouths. They love it!

I usually broadcast feed them with reef roids simply because I got any direct feeding them, I should go back to direct feeding because they were happier then

Mine will put out snacking tentacles randomly throughout the day :3 I shut the pumps off so the food doesn't waste, and gently target feed little bits of the mix my main reef gets: mysis, spirulina enriched brine, reef plankton and sometimes fish eggs as a treat!
Acans are pretty easy to feed and accept most foods I've found.
