Hey guys,

I'm wanting to start culturing as well as add pods to my display tanks. Not only for the usual benefits, but also to have a food source at the ready if I were to get any species of fish such a mandarins or wasp fish that may require the presence of Pods.

Do I or should feed/dose phyto into the display tanks to help supplement the introduced Pods? Can I simply use bottled phyto such a RG Complete?

Both will work. Some pods will feed on film algae on the sand and in rock work. The free swimming pods usually end up in your filters.

Thanks. I'm glad you brought up the free swimming note. What species of Pods are free swimming?
I have some smaller breeding tanks with just sponge filters that free swimming pod may fair ok but not in the main displays.
