Hello, I've got a 75 gallon saltwater tank, currently using 2 marineland penguin 350 canisters. I bought a sump, trigger systems sapphire 26 and a ecotech return pump. Ive no clue what fitting to use, I'd like to use the hoses from the canisters. Please help

Will you drill the tank? You ultimately need an overflow box to get the water down to the sump, so if you drill the tank or not will determine which type of overflow to get. Then you will need pvc piping and primer and cement to build the connection from the overflow to the sump, then another connection from the return pump back up to the display tank. I would suggest to watch a couple of videos on youtube, this will give you the general idea of what needs to be done, then folks here can help with the specifics.

You will still need an overflow box. You cannot just siphon water with a hose to the sump and pump it back up... It won't work without a flood on your floor at some point.

Do spend some time reading on these forums and gather how running a sump with an over the back or siphon overflow works. If overflows are not setup correctly, they can be noisy as well.

If you do not want to drill the tank you will need to find a Continuous Siphon oveflow box.

Unless someone can help with a diy solution, you will not likely be able to use the hoses from the canisters. Now that you know what type of overflow you need, again I suggest to check out a few videos on "hob overflow sump set up", this will help you visualize what you need to do. It seems overwhelming at first, but not that bad once you start working on it and going through the steps, and then you'll have a nice feeling of pride once your done. Good luck.
