Hello,

I am planning to set up a cube aquarium with a filtration panel. The dimensions of the tank will be 50 × 60 × 50 cm (height). The filtration panel on the back wall will be 10 × 50 × 50 cm , so display tank is 50x50x50cm.

My main question concerns the panel dimensions: how large should the cut-out for the overflow weir be, and what size openings should I leave in the baffles?

I am planning three chambers: inlet, skimmer, and return pump.
What should be the height of the weir if it'll be 15cm wide and I'm planning 4000l/h pump?

If you have experience with designing this properly, I would appreciate any advice.

50cm^3 is a 60gallon cube so you may be able to find examples to study.

50cm ^3 is a 125l which is 33 gallons. There are a lot of tanks but not much with all of dimensions.

You are right. I did fast math of 50 cm = 24in, which is 20% off.

There are ~30g AIO tanks out there that you could look at for inspiration.
