Firefish always hiding? Normal or not?

Hi all,
this is my 2nd fish question today. I have 2 firefish, a red and a purple. These are replacements for a red and purple I lost a while back. my 1st 2 were always out swimming constantly mid tank. These 2 ive had for a couple months and they never ever come out except for a quick dart at feeding times. Are my new guys not doing well or were my 1st 2 oddly social? Thanks!

My firefish hid 90% of the time. Only came out to eat. IMO its normal of them :)

Ditto. I had one seemingly disappear for a few days. I decided it was time to search one morning as I was headed out the door. Came home that evening and there he was swimming around the tank!
