Hello everyone!
I am still new to SPS, so I got a nice frag of Fireworks Clove few months ago, it grows like crazy, ha. So, I recently noticed a one polyp, well, if you imagine a single clove polyp it looks like a flower with a filaments, so there is one head or flower that has filaments splitted on each end. Is this normal for them to have this, or should I watch close and if it grows another polyps from this head and they will have filaments that are splitted at the end of each filament and each split has two small filaments.
So is this a mutation os some kind, if yes, it might be a start to a cool new sp. of clove and I should try to keep and grow it? Shold it be fragged when it gets big enough? Tbh I never did fragging earlier. Sorry no pics yet, as the polyp head is small and I cannot catch it on a close up as it is hidden among other heads. I will try to get an underwater camera for a close shot though.

Is there a way you can get a picture? The tentacles of the polyp sometimes have a fringed appearance.

Cloves are 'soft' corals.
Do you have a picture?
I am sure it's cloves, here is an old picture

I'm honestly confused at your question. A clove polyp has 8 fringed tentacles per polyp.

ahm sorry for not being clear, I am still new to the hobby and terminology, so basically - a clove polyp has a mouth in the center and tentacles, fringed tentacles, that glow orange-ish on the end of every tentacle, so normal clove polyp looks like:

\|/
-o-
/|\
a mouth and tentacles around it

however one polyp has a splitting like " >- " at the end of each of 8 tentacles, where each ">" is fringed as well. Honestly it'd be better for me to post a picture, but I hope I explained it understandable (pardon, English is not my native)
