First tide pods now...

I wish I could watch from a distance in a lawn chair sipping a dos equis. Society has just lost it's mind.

Like they would keep something truly critical in such a famous area.

Same, except a Sam Adams[emoji6]

You will supposedly get to see the live stream on fb from the organizers of this raid and nah wouldnt be surprised if someone actually tried to raid area

I don't like conspiring, but I believe it's just a diversion from Jeffry Epstein. It's too coincidental that FB would have the Area 51 raid just when Epstein case was getting juicy. Media nowadays cover random topics, fear mongering and the Kardashians instead of actual news. Really like this quote from Denzel Washington, "If you read the news, you're misinformed. If you don't read the news, you're uninformed." The weather man is now more believable compared with the rest of them.

It’s all because the “knock it off” filter was removed from parenting and replaced with a tablet.
Very true. I’m no parent. But kids are raised very differently now. There’s no discipline and no consequences for actions. And this is what you get hundreds of thousands of people looking to raid a military base because they think there will be no consequences. Some lessons are learned the hard way. This is why I say they should flag every person who signs up for this “raid “ as a domestic terrorist maybe it will knock some sense into them of the seriousness of these “jokes”

No ones storming anything, and the beauty of the US is you can say whatever harebrained stuff you want without repercussions.

It’s a joke that is a product of internet culture which you don’t need to understand. Let people have their fun. This is just what happens when you let people collaborate on “pranks” on a national scale via internet.

I get it. Our music is too loud, we text instead of calling and we are putting the cable industry out of business.

It just comes off as very "get off my lawn".

The reason we keep making so many off the wall jokes and memes is because old people keep reacting to them. People didn't like planking, Pokemon Go, the cinnamon challenge, mannequin challenge, dabbing, gallon milk challenge, pass out/knock out challenge, lip plumping, and all of the other silly things that have taken the internet by storm over the last decade. It is funny to see old people get so offended by silly things, so we keep doing silly things.

I promise that everyone who did the tide pod challenge knew full well that tide pods are not intended for consumption. That's what makes it funny.

I strongly disagree with the idea that children require corporal punishment. Phones are not ruining children. When books became commonplace people thought that would ruin kids as well. Access to the entirety of human knowledge is a good thing, not a bad thing. Kids better learn how to use phones, tablets and computers because their jobs will likely revolve around them.

I don't know if we're old just not....well ....dumb. Haha I just ate a tide pod. Dude you should see your face.

I have another theory. Yesteryears car surfers and self taser'ers have bred to create todays tide pod connoisseurs and ice cream lickers lol

Do you bite your ice cream like some sort of savage?

Its okay, I will be waiting for the pull a plastic gun on a cop challenge. Because why not. Its funny right?

I’d actually be pretty amused if someone was stupid enough to try that. Don pretend that you wouldn’t be astounded if that caught on.

I didn’t see those challenges meaning to just p off older people, it was for the attention. An easy quick way to get likes, gratification.

It wouldn't surprise me. Social media is a dangerous thing and that is the point, people are doing stupid things because of some viral meme and are doing it to try and fit in. Sooner or later people are going to die.

Maybe not the youtubers, but the kids watching it later who thinks its cool.

What happens when your child or sibling who is 5 and decides that eating tide pods is cool and dies.

The problem with this mentality is that while 85-90% of the people responding totally understand that this is meant to be a joke, there is always that other 10-15% who take things literally or are mentally unstable, etc... and that’s when what is intended as a joke gets people hurt or killed. This is where age and maturity have the advantage...we’ve lived long enough to realize that there is such a thing as unintended consequences. (Although for what it’s worth, I’m not that old...)

800k are going to leave the comfort of their parents basement and computer screens to trek into the dessert, hahaha, I'd pay to watch that.
