First time anemone help

I have one at the 5 to 6 month of my tank it lived but Dead 3 weeks later and I got my 2nd one 1 year later and it has been in my tank for 4 years now and just got a SUNBURST BTA nem it was like nothing no worries like the other one the 2nd one was moving a lot but now all fine but the BTA was the best just got it 2 months ago and split like 4 weeks after I got it and look amazing I would say wait till 1 year or 2 your tank will have no problem and the nem will look amazing my wasn't even close for a minute you just need to wait till All the bacteria is good and well
That's not good 0 phosphates
Are very bad
Just feed more I had the same problem and it will make algae grow crazy I was always scared to feed a lot but I started to and all algae went away like it was amazing like it was crazy 2 years I have not been feeding my tank enough and it made everything better
I’m hoping I can get them to survive I’m going to test my parameters again and if it’s the same again I’m going to feed a little more. Plus buy Neophos and Neonitro to see if they’ll help.

I hope the nem makes it! I bought two BTAs at the 5-6 month mark and had similar parameters like you. They both survived for another 6 months and then both died rather quickly - no idea why.
I’m hoping to if not I’ll wait til the year mark to try again. And make sure my parameters are good

The age of the tank is meant to be for the mature biome , to me the tank looks like it still needs to go through some stages I would expect some coraline growth for example and more algae present. I started with all live rocks because the cycle can take a very long time , not the normal ammonia - nitrate cycle . I started this tank in August, you also should elevate nitrate and phosphate as anemones can pull from the water column to help feed / heal

Your tank is definitely amazing! I plan on testing my tank again to see what my parameters are again but planning on buying Neonitro and Neophos for a little help.

Thanks , it’s mostly due to using live rocks versus dry I think , you could always get some to seed

I’ve always used dry rock with previous tanks I’ve had in the past heard a few horror stores with using live rocks. Been thinking about using live rocks in bigger future tank. Never had a nem always mostly euphyllias lol. Here’s a pic of my last tank from last year which I miss but sold

Yea, it’s rough trying to throw an anemone in “right away.” 5 months, the tank is still maturing in cycle I think. Been there myself. But hey at least they were free!

My 20 took a LOOOOOONG time to really mature because changes can be really drastic.
