Saw my silly little clown do this yesterday. Didn't realize it was an actual thing till I saw it happen. Funny part, as he farted he got a little boost, kind of like rocket power. lol
If he’s anything like my dog it probably scared him ;Hilarious

I just wish someone would catch it on camera.

Wondering if anyone has seen this before. My clown fish was swimming around and producing small bubbles from it's exit. Did I witness a fish fart?
This topics come up many times in the past and there is some misconception with regard to the formal biological process but some fish can release gas from the vent. Many however cannot but will expel excess gases from gas bladder or digestive byproducts from their mouth, like a burp.

Strange write up but yes, herring is one of the families known to emit gases, in their cause as a form of altruism.

Having a nanotank I can't but notice it as everytime this happens the parameters get wild and the corals retract.
