Is the male eating? I would consider treating the fish with API general cure or prazipro

They look about the same size. The female could be bullying him and or taking his food. I would watch and make sure he eats next time you feed them. Maybe try shop feeding. Have you tested your water parameters?

Yeah he is very skinny. Have you seen him eat? Will the other one allow it or does it chase the skinny one?

I would get rid of either of them and get a much smaller one..it'll be hard to get rid of the skinny one but it'll do fine if it eats by itself..the much smaller one with be male and the larger one will be female

Okay so I talked to my local fish store they said they will take him and give me a credit for a small one to take his place. I just wanted him to have a place were he could thrive Thanks for all the feed back !

How long have you had them? If they are close in size they will bully each other..she may be big because she isnt letting the other eat

+1 --- I had the same thing happen with my pair back in the day. One such instance involved the female dragging the male back into the rock by the tail. Guess she wanted her man home. Gotta laugh outta that one.
