Hi guys,

thanks for the kind welcome on my other posts!

Iv decided to get 2 common clow fish to start with when my tank is cycled and ready to go, my LFS has told me clown fish are ideal for beigners, I have a 110l tank, would I be able to get a Star fish in with my clown fish do you recon or would this be to difficult, its just gonna be a fish only tank with live rock

Some are more challenging than others.

As a beginner I would look into species such as chocolate chips (since you have no coral), sand sifting sea stars, brittle stars. You can supplement these guys with nori and they'll also take uneaten food.

Some to avoid until you're more advanced would be Linkia and Fromia Sp. Some of these are quite challenging and may wither away, but are gorgeous!

All starfish are echinoderms and will forage for food. Most graze on algae, detritus, and uneaten food while others will be sneaky and snack on fish, coral, and other inverts.
