Im upgrading tomorrow from my 75g to a 120g.

The tank is fully stocked, including 4 clams all over 10in
The gigas is 18in!!

Well along with the clams and all the LPS and soft corals there is a Flame Angel. The original owner says he has been fine with all the corals and the clams EXCEPT when he had maxima clams....so the fish ignored the giant derasas, gigas, and squamosa and only went at the maxima and croceas.

My question is does anyone think i can put this fish with SPS and chalices. Im moving the tank tomorrow night and setting it up. I have a couple days to figure out if i want to move the Flame Angel back into the tank or sell it. Once the tank is set up im moving all of my Acros, chalices and acans into the tank, along with the clams.

Anyone have any experience with this fish? I dont want to put him in and not be able to get him out.

definitely would not put one in that already eats clams regardless of species but that's my opinion.

i removed mine after it started hipping on my sps. sense he is already nipping, he may not be suitable. most angels are not and tend to learn to nip over time. once they do its a pain and could be costly.

Don't get the one that eats clams already, but if your at LFS I would take a chance. I never had a problem, I just might be lucky.

Well it was in a tank for like 5 years, sps and lps and clams. The only thing it picked on was maxima clams, he took them out, and the angel didnt pick on anythign else.

So idk... lol
