You can use a hacksaw to cut marcorock (or a bandsaw if available).
BRS sells flat cut marcorock I think they call it foundation rock but it's pricey.
Two little fishies makes flat cut rock which is actually flat on 2 sides. May be an interestimg option. Liveaquaria sells it.
I have never used the BRS or 2 little fishies products, I just use a hacksaw.
thank you I stand corrected as it a different product in fact I bought some
Planning on trying this myself, but confused which blade your talking about do you have an amazon link you could share please <3 ? Debating between these two currently flat and rodTry using a tungsten-Carbide grit edge hack saw blade, It cuts through macro rock really well. It's like cutting through wood. I think they sell them on amazon.com. It might save you a few pounds having on buying machine cut pieces if you've already got rock spare
Will do! Thank you! Hoping my pieces will come out as well as yours lookHey Vested! either will work fine but if your going to get one I'd go for the flat grit edge blade (great for straight cuts), the rod is ideal for changing direction mid-cut.
Tip: It's easier to cut through the rock when it's dry. If the hack saw is too small to make a full cut just rotate the rock a little and continue to cut, slow down at the end so you get a clean cut. Best of luck!
