I know these are extremely hard to see but I have the little critters in some of my back tanks that are exploding in population. All these tanks are robust with pods of all sorts but I’m not sure if that’s what these are or if they’re some sort of planaria. They’re so small I can’t decide. Would like some thoughts (if you can see from the crap pics I have)

Thanks

Left image — do you mean the white/cream colored stuff in the bottom center on the substrate?

Right image — those do look like some type of little planaria, IMO.

My very first tank was a 20g setup with "The Package" from TBS (e.g. gulf live rock and sand). It was loaded with similar looking planaria. All over the glass at night, and throughout the substrate during the day.

Never saw them on any corals, and never caused any problems.

That said, there are probably thousands of species of saltwater planaria ... so honestly can't say if they were the same.

The tiny reddish things in the white sand and the things that are on the glass. This tank has millions of pods so it’s hard to differentiate
