I have an AIO Nuvo Fusion 20 gallon with a a Sicce 1.5 return pump (357 gph), random flow generator nozzles, and an MP10. The tank has been up and running now for close to five months and I have done weekly 10% water changes since it has been cycled.
Even though I have sufficient equipment to generate good flow, I am always displeased with the outcome:
Does anyone have any recommendations for ideal MP10 settings in an LPS based 20 gallon tank? I know I need to identify the root cause of the Cyano, but to the best of my knowledge I think it is mainly caused be the low flow on the sand bed.
Thanks!
Even though I have sufficient equipment to generate good flow, I am always displeased with the outcome:
- If I turn my MP10 down all the way, all of my corals expand and look fantastic (especially the euphyillia), but I soon start to get mats of Cyano in the low flow areas of the tank.
- To combat the Cyano, I turn up the MP10. All of my euphyllia starts getting blown hard in one direction constantly and almost immediately loose the polyp extension, but the Cyano clears up in a few days.
