Flukes on convict tang?

Can it be soaked in food? That would be preferable over dosing the whole tank

No - General Cure cannot be added to the food (although you'll read about people saying that it can!). The reason why not is simple - the two components have two different oral doses, so you cannot mix it properly to get a dose for both.

'So the ocean can deal with it.' Love it! 😍

It’s all but guaranteed that if you pull any fish from Hawaiian waters and don’t treat them for crypto, you will have crypto within a week. Especially surgeons. Furthermore, you won’t really encounter flukes on surgeons out of our waters and if you do, it’s takes awhile before it’s really a problem. What he’s experiencing is the first wave of Trophonts and soon you’ll have a infestation that will be deadly

It’s ich Jay. Not flukes

I can't see any trophonts in the video. If you can see them in person, then, that's different.

Ich doesn't cause flashing/scratching like that. so if you can see distinct white spots (the trophonts) then the fish may well have both issues.

You don’t need to see trophonts. It’s expected in our line of work. The chances of a surgeon out of Hawaiian waters having flukes is next to nothing. The chances of them carrying ick is guaranteed. Commercial dealers and divers in Hawaii don’t run prazi in our fish systems, we run copper as our systems are predominantly tangs. Flukes typically are on things like our dwarf angelfish(potters/flames/fishers)

Our surgeons are carriers of crypto. In the wild it’s kept in check. Once brought in, the process unfolds immediately. It’s guaranteed. And the flicking/rubbing is an indicator we rely on.
