I set this reef up about 8 months ago, other than a few minor hiccups been going great. looking to take it up a notch and coral density is increasing and looking into dosing.

Setup
Fluval Flex 15 stock filtration in back chamber. Have a ehiem surface skimmer in chamber one to help with skimming since this tank doesn't have a true overflow. have a coarse foam block in middle chamber I clean out every week or so. and stock pump in last, run a bag with a bit of GFO and carbon in it in last chamber as well.
OW-10 for flow running on lowest setting.
Light is a DIY based on a Acro Star Halfmega pro puc in a simple on/off light on 9 hrs a day, thinking of adding some control so I get an hour of actinic in morning and evening

Current maintenance is a 5 gallon water change once a month, and swapping out the media bag. and topping off with RO every morning.

Current Stock:
1xOcerlerus Clown
1xTail spot Blenny
1xSkunk Cleaner
few hermits and snales

Coral:
6 head Candy cane
5 head Hammer
Bubblte tip nem
few zoa colonies
Birdsnest (just added)
1xGorgornia
GSP and Xenia rock

Looking for input on dosing, ideally this tank would get a smaller weekly water change, but its not realistic since it in my office, and I do maintenance when I work saturdays once a month. thinking of adding a small amount of kalkwasser to my top off jug to start supplementing alk/cal is there a better suppliment to look into? I don't really want to make this a chemisty project, this reef was intended to be VERY low maintenance, defiantly keeping the whole setup simple.

I have a Jebao DP-2 and use BRS 2 Part. I tried Kalkwasser for a bit in the ATO but the randomness of evaporation made that less consistent. I thought of adding that separate from the ATO, but realized it would add more RO/DI than my ATO was adding. Additionally, my consumption of Alkalinity and Calcium accelerates rapidly. It is much easier to simply increase the dosing with 2 Part. I am increasing it by about 1 ml per day weekly on 35 gallons water volume.

I have had very good luck with kalkwasser using my ATO in my Fluval 13.5 tank.

I use 2 part from bulk reef supply. So far I have dosed up and not had to dose again in some time.

I’m super excited to see another with a fluval flex!!! I love my tank.

Also there are media baskets made for the the flex for chambers one and 2 if ever your interested.

Check out BRS TV episode on 2 part dosing.
