Fluval spec v build

Currently on day 3 of cycling my new Fluval spec v build.

Equipment

Aqueon quiet flow pump- 158 gph
25 watt marina mini heater

I skipped on the media basket to save some cash. Filled 2 mesh bags with marine pure balls that's placed on the bottom of the filter chamber. On top I put a layer of polyfil and a coarse sponge on top of that cut tightly to size to hold everything together.

For lighting I'll be using the lumini Asta 20.

Sand I got recycled from a local aquariasts previous setup. Hand cleaned it all.

Rock is all macro which is eco friendly and that also comes from an aquariasts previous setup and was fully cured earlier.

Next pieces of equipment I'm planning on getting is the random flow generator from vivid aquatics and a micro smart ato.

I'm currently dosing daily microbacter7 to help the cycle along.

Sorry I haven't updated in awhile.
Cycle finished. Added my first corals. A couple heads of mutant hammer and frogspawn.

Added a cuc in the form of 2 nassarius snails, 2 mexican turbo snails and 3 small hermit crabs.

Also purchased a micro smart ato that I haven't set up yet.

I'm trying to accomplish monthly water changes so going to be adding some chemi pure elite and poly filter.

Possibly a skimmer in a month or so.
