Hi all,

There are many threads on this but updates?

What are people using for lighting on FOWLR? I want to minimize algae/dino/cyano ect. ect.

I know its mostly for what I want to be viewing but stuck between 6500K and 8000K leds. I see people using shop lights but I like the slim LEDS that sit on top of tank.

I purchased this for now, LINK, its only 31 watts so I cant imagine its very powerful. All these cheap LEDs are made for plant growth it appears, which I dont want of course.

Whats anyone using? Thanks!

It really won't matter what you use. Its more important to just keep wast levels in ranges unfavorable to algae and to have fish that eat them.

Just get what you like the look of. Any light can grow algae, so don't worry about that.

Gotcha, ok thanks!
