Frag is bleaching from the bottom

So I bought a red Digitata from my LFS but I didn’t notice that it was bleaching at the bottom. What should I do? Cut the bleaching part of the frag out?

May be due to shading from light not reaching area or low calcium or alk.
Depending on type of light used, there is a chance of recovery but may need to be re-fragged onto new plug as you considered doing

Is there anything similar in your tank that IS doing ok?
If not, I would do a water change. It's the best way to eliminate a bunch of variables some we may not even be aware of. What do you have for lighting? Water current?

I cut the bleached part off and only healthy tissue is seen now. I’m not sure the LFS water parameters and lighting but it looked nice and healthy there.

No, I mean, what's the situation you have at home?
Do you have good lighting and water current in your tank? I know a lot of LFS' that sell stuff like this don't have optimal situations and they rely on selling things quickly.

If you have the right conditions at home though, it should pick up and do good.

I have a Red Sea Max Nano (about 20 gallons). For lighting I have a Radion XR30 and for flow I have 2 knock off MP-10(2 Jebao powerhead) creating strong flow.

Alright, so that's ok. Then I would be looking at phosphate, alkalinity and ph.
The other corals i see in there look fine, but these guys are going to be your most sensitive and montipora in particular are one of the less sensitive and more hardy ones, so I want to say it's got something to do with that, and maybe checking your light levels (what percentages your lights are at) to make sure you're giving enough light. Your light is definitely up to it.

I've tried multiple times and have never been able to get my digita to encrust over glue onto a plug and it ends up looking like that. I have no idea why.
I break it often when my hands are in the tank and I just toss the trimmings down in crevice or hole and let it do its thing.
