Fragging a Chalice

So, what is the best way to frag a Chalice?

Inland Band saw in my honest opinion, Very clean accurate cuts with virtually no tissue damage.

hammer, knife and a pair of gloves. Oh, wait, you said the best way :tongue: Then yes, what M&M said. Bandsaw helps to keep down the casualties by a lot and gives you great control when cutting. Deaths are extremely rare for me since I've started using a bandsaw and the corals heal a lot faster.

Never used a bandsaw, but I hear they are the way to go. I'm still using dremel, chisel, scissors.....sometimes scalpel.

Yea, some times they encrust onto the rock or plug, But right now I have a 4" MM that is just a disk hovering over the disk it is on. I can't wait till this summer when I can use it as a Frisbee.

LOL, wet band saw all the way! Fast smooth accurate cuts. Super easy

If you're on a budget, a diamond wheel dremel attachment does a pretty good job. It works best when there's not much rock underneath the chalice.

lol. I really don't plan on cutting anytime within the next few years, but I'd like to know. I don't think the band saw is in the budget. In fact, after the 7 corals I ordered come in, I'm done until I sell a few acros and my large orange zoa colony.
