Freaking Brown algae

I’m so tired of battling his brown algae I have such a nice rock scape with awesome rock and it’s just brown hair I’ve been doing everything I can water changes checking my parameters I’m in there with a toothbrush I’ve actually takin some out scrub them down put them back in three days later they start turning brown again I even went as far as going out and getting a lawnmower blenny I have lots of CUC, what can I do to get rid of it is there like a special potion I could just dump in there it’ll go away. Uggh

What are your parameters, do you have any pictures, are you using 0tds RODI water?

I don’t know what type of lights you have. But I have seen amazing reduction by upping the blues, and lowering my whites.

I also slightly upped the frequency of my water changes. And reduced the ambient light in the room (closed the shades)

I did 25 gal WC Saturday night I’m very consistent with that, I use natural ocean water only, RODI once in blue moon, I’m doing a water test tomorrow morning before I feed tank

I would say this is definitely a contributing factor .

Are there any corals in the tank ?
I would do a 3 day blackout and reduce your light period
I have a lot of corals,, today I set light at lowest setting and say an improvement

Ive been doing this with the blues and the brown algae still comes back the next day

I recommend this product. Worked for me. Plus additional few turbo snails worked like a charm. Continuum Bacter Clean-M kills it off, but you have to clean it up, vacuuming and syphoning out once the algae falls off. Good luck
