Hi, I had a some stage a beautiful frogspawn but I had issues with parasites, worm damaged the soft tissue and the wave maker finished with it… I know it’s alive because I’ve placed in a ziploc bag with a few holes (don’t have those anemone cage) and recovery somehow a bit of the skin but now it’s gone again, any change to save it?

Alk 10
Phos 0.04
Nitrate 9.4
Salinity 1.025
25 water temp
Calcium 450

One bailed out, the polyp can survive outside of its skeleton but it will never regrow back.

What?
Part of the hobby?

I have never experienced polyp bail in my 30 years of my keeping a reef. I was a new reefer once.

Why do you say this? I'm confused.
Search for it
It happens along with BJD

He said it a sad news to hear it was dead. And yes people lose corals new to experienced reefers. If you’ve never lost a coral you need to detail everything you’ve done so others can follow.

He simply meant that losing a coral here and there is part of the hobby. Don't over-think his comment.
You are correct..
Over thinking it.
Sorry OP.

It makes me crazy when people think polyp bailout is normal or part of the hobby.

Yes I have lost coral. Not too polyp bailout. That's usually a last ditch.........

Never mind, I'm done.
Forgive me.

Exactly what I meant and didn’t bailout due parameters, a worm parasite damage a bit of the soft tissue and the wave maker was too strong… too many factors and when I realised was too late, also after bailout I got rid of the head and kept the skeleton instead of doing the other way around. Lesson learned and hopefully last time

Hey don't feel bad, I have been a member of at least 5 forums over time and I try to tell everyone that you can't "see" the person and their affect (facial expression) nor be able to know what comports to what is in their mind. No harm, no foul.
