Hey guys just a few days ago my frogspawn seemed super happy and healthy, then one day I noticed one head was completely retracted and the other still seems healthy and happy. I have no idea why but noticed a peice of its skeleton looked out of place and I was able to grab it and pull it off. Idk how it happened to break off or what caused this. Thanks

Water parameters? How long have you had it? Moved recently or been there for a while?

I’ll test when I get home. I’ve had it for about 3 weeks. Kept in the same spot of the tank since I’ve purchased. Good light and moderate flow.

A little quick to be putting a lps in. Try to keep your parameters as stable as possible.

I had a tank crash ( heater went to 98 ) Killed all but one tentacle on a 20 head frogspawn. I fragged the head with 1 tentacle and now that 1 tentacle is 20 heads again.

Could be any number of things with that young of a tank. Luckily, frogspawn are extremely hardy and if you keep things stable it'll pull through.
Sounds good thank you. I have noticed my temp has been a little higher then I’d like lately. Stays around 79-80 degrees Fahrenheit. Is this ok?

Wow that’s impressive. If it does die should I drag off the head that is dead? And if so should I use a saw? Pliers? Snippers?

I also have a toxic green hammer and it seems to be doing well. It’s been in for quite a while longer then the frogspawn.

Hey, I’ve also recently noticed the tank is fairly cloudy and it doesn’t seem to be going away. I’m thinking maybe bacteria bloom since the tank is so new? I’ve tried more filter floss, new carbon, and sea hem chemi clear because I had some on hand. It’s a white hazy cloud. Been going on for about a week.

Turn your lights down or off for a day or two if you think it's a bacterial bloom. 79-80 is fine on temp as long as it doesn't swing much. Some things do better cooler and others don't. There doesn't seems to be one perfect temperature.

I’ll try that. And it seems to be swinging by 0.1-0.3 Fahrenheit a day. Is that to much?

80 is getting to the upper limit. I like to keep mine around 78 gives you wiggle room. Temp changes of 1 degree I would not worry about.
