Just received a coral order and one of the Frogspawn has these red dots with two red dots in the center of them. Any ideas on what they are? Never seen this before and hestitant to add to our tank.

I would dip in revive or similar (as you should do anyway), and if these do not come off I would not put in my display either until identified.

You should definitely contact the seller with this pic.
The pics were taken during dip. We always dip... Rather lose a coral to a dip than crash the entire tank and lose all life in the tank, ya know?

Where did u order from?
SBB. I sent a photo to them and they said some type of sponge... when I reverse image on google or grok, thats the answer they bring up as the sole option that isn't problematic.. right before listing flat worms (aka rust worms) and other pests/hitch-hikers.

Also - I did send the seller a photo and was told it was some type of sponge. It's weird because we got 3 frogspawn and 15 corals. This is the only one with this stuff. But the answer of it being sponge is the only response any AI or reverse image search will return before listing pests/hitchhikers that are problematic.

I got a torch with a single orange spot that looked like this. I thought it was a sponge and left it. Haven’t had any problems yet and I’m keeping an eye on it.

Did the spot have dots in the center like this? How long has it been since noticing the spot? Thanks for sharing!!!

I don’t think it has the red in the center but it’s only been a couple weeks.
