Frogspawn opinion

So we just got this new frogspawn, doing well so far, but when it was cut at the store it angled a tad. Now, the hope when we secured it to the rock in our tank was that it could grow back in the branch areas it was cut, or it could start to branch in other areas. Should we reposition this and cut it off at the base so it sits upright? or will it start to grow from the areas branches were removed?

I may be wrong but I'm pretty sure the current head will split if anything. I don't think a new head will grow from the base.

New heads can indeed grow from the base. Not sure you can really control when or where it happens though.
