hi all, while I was doing work in my tank a few days ago I accidentally hit the powerhead and didn’t realize it. Today I saw my frogspawn was getting way too much flow and some of smaller heads were almost off their skeleton. I moved the frogspawn to the sandbed where it is now getting very low flow. Is it good enough to just leave it?

Here’s a photo of it currently, just two heads. Should I pull it out and try to get the tentacles thAt are barely attached on?

I’m just thinking..could I glue the red marked piece of the frogspawn onto a piece of spare rock I have. The one in blue I don’t think would even make it. If I can glue it, I don’t have any coral specific glue, do any store types work?

Actually it’s not the one in red, but it’s behind the one in red, can’t see in picture well

Update, now another head is doing bad. I have no idea why, all others corals are fine

All I have at the moment is an api test kit, should I test?

The head in white looks like its completely lost all its tissue and is just a dead skeleton.

Yes, but In the lower left, two heads that were fine last night, are now in trouble

Still not exactly sure what caused this, but I’m planning to take the frogspawn out and remove any tentacles that are on the verge of falling off and see what happens

Okay so I pulled of the loose heads, not sure what to do with them? So do I throw them away?

Could it be a different issue? Consider doing an iodine dip just to make sure it isn't some sort of bacterial infection transferred from the other head dying off.

So I moved to onto rock a few days ago, and it started doing great, now another head started. I have no idea why, still every other coral Is doing great

dang, i feels. In my tank i can keep torches and frogspawn but cant keep hammers, it doesnt make sense. it could just be that. The reef gods chose what you cant have. lol jk

Yeah, it’s just so weird, it was my first coral, grew from 4 heads to like 10 or 12 and just a week ago it just started to die for no reason, maybe bacterial infection. Fortunately, if I can’t save this one I still remember the store and they always have a huge tank dedicated to this type that looks like a frogspawn hammer mix.
