Fudge lighting 24/7 or reverse display?

What is best for the tank, running your huge light 24/7 or reverse of your display tank? Right now I'm running it reverse lit but was wondering if running it 24/7 would have any benefit.

Reverse lighting of your display in my opinion is best. Macroalgae needs a period of no light, same as when you go to sleep at night.

I use reverse lighting in my fuge. I think the idea is to always have light going so you don't have a dormant dark period.

Reverse lighting helps your ph at night. I run a home depot bulb 24/7 and a cheato max light for 3 hours at night
