On recently I noticed my fungia plate are some pellet food that had rested on him. This is the fist time I had seen him eat a solid object. I had only done suspension feeding prior to this with good success.

Well I've recently started to hand feed him directly and engage in a finger war either my two cleaner shrimp while the coral ate.

The other day I decided to up the feeding to a decent amount of pellets to see what he did.

I fed him approximately 20 pellets and captured the feeding on camera.

The pics are from approximately 45 minutes after the feeding.

You can faintly see how much the plate retracted if you look at the substrate closely.
