Has anyone had any issues with T5s messing with Gen 1 Radions? My fathers tank has 3 Gen 1 Radions and 2 80w T5s and when the T5s are on, it messes with the programming of the Radion. Almost like the T5s are messing with the communication between the Radions. Any have this experience?

Does it happen as soon as the T5’s turn on or after they heat up?

Sounds like frequency interference from the ballasts and wireing. Try to move the wires as far away as possible and verify the theory.

how close was the wiring to the radion?

I don't recall exactly, but this is how I have it set up now. The halide cable goes down the center of the back of the tank with the ballast under the center of the stand. The Radion cables go down the sides of the back with the power supplies at the back corners. My Reeflink is at the front right corner. The tank is a 150 deep dimension, so it’s 36”x36”.

Note that the pic was from last year. The tree won’t be making an appearance until after Thanksgiving. D84B0453-AE24-4751-A177-676FDDB605C4.jpeg

Great looking tank. Thank you for the visual

Freshwater filter only or is it? Have you ever used an HOB filter on a saltwater tank?
