Thank you and congrats on the MarineX 110! Feel free to message me if you have any questions or post in here. I’m happy to elaborate on anything I did on the build and add more pictures. (Still haven’t got a good camera for coral pics though) lolReally nice build! Looking forward to my 110 MarineX hopefully next week! Will refer back to this thread often I have a feeling.
So it begins! I have been on break from reef tanks for 5yrs and finally have jumped back in head first. Had a 90g sps tank for 9 yrs that grew amazingly under my OCD care. I wanted to do a different type of tank with a much more shallow design and really like the 16in depth of the frag series. I’m currently waiting on the delivery of our WaterBox frag system. In the mean time I am putting together the mods in return plumbing, laying out the controller board, starting on my aqua scaping design, and designing my separate 7g cube fuge. Lots of orders coming in.
I masked out my tank location and side cabinet where I will be putting the fuge. It will be displayed In a small cabinet and most likely have a small angler there in the future. But t let’s not get ahead of ourselves. Lots of planning and building to do before any of that.
I’ll be using some new AI Hydra 64 and I also have a set of AI Vega lights that I never installed on my last tank before breaking it down. Might be older but I’ll use them for now till and see where it goes. Also got a Kessil H80 Tuna for the fuge.
I had the first generation vortech powerheads on my last tank tank and liked them but as this is a new tank and much shallower I went with iceCap Gyre 2k after a good review from another R2R member that I will put across from each other at first and probably mess around with flow as I go.
I will be updating this regularly and I respond fairly quickly to posts. Looking forward to this new tank journey.
Thank you!super nice
