My timeline for taking the plunge might be moving up. I will possibly be getting a free new BioCube (29gal, I think). I would be getting this in September-ish. So much to learn between now and then! I'm excited and somewhat daunted.

I'm also supposed to be saving up for a wedding. :D

Cheers,

I have a Jackson's Chameleon,Bearded Dragon,Nile monitor,Leopard Gecko,Whites Tree frog and 4 snakes.

Awesome! I used to breed bearded dragons and chameleons (Jackson's, flap-necks, and Comoros Island chams). Chams are my favorite but a lot of work. Now, I'm down to four snakes and three spiders. It's much easier. When we move, aside from a reef, I want to do dart frogs and have tortoises again.

Thanks for the welcomes, everyone! This is the friendliest forum I've ever been on.

Cheers,

So after a hiatus, I am back on this forum. It's been a tumultuous last few months for me - all in a good way. I'm getting married in June, I left my position at Pet Age magazine, and I graduated school and became a licensed acupuncturist in a thriving practice. Oh, and I got a saltwater tank, which is the most relevant thing.

I got an all-in-one package from Biota Aquariums. It was set up with just live rock for almost a month. The fish and corals arrived last Thursday. I will be posting pictures soon. So far, so good. The customer service at Biota was awesome, and I'd recommend the company highly.

I hope to be more active on this site now that I actually have a tank and am starting to have some experiences I can talk about.

Cheers,

Congrats on what sounds like an exciting last few months and on the pending nuptials. Looking forward to seeing some pictures of your new system.
