About a month ago I transferred my mix reef over to a nano max XL.

This week started to get green hair algae I assuming it’s because of over nutrient/over feeding.

I haven’t been using my skimmer should I start??

I’d use the skimmer, but algae is not generally best delt with via nutrients. Reducing them to the point of starving algae can starve corals.

Herbivores are often the best way.

Hey, could you check my post? I have some sort of hair algae. It is very small patches so it isn't taking over the tank but I want to catch it before it might take over. https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/hairy-brown-algae-what-is-it.1096060/#post-13289068
