So i set up my maxi dose for doing AWC , right now i have it push and pull 550ml every 3 hours at the second to highest speed ( run time about 5 minutes )

Would it be better to run a continuous 3.1ml/min?

Or maybe 6.2ml/min for 12 hours ( if that's possible to set up)
Or 6.2ml/min for 24h every other day.

Noise isn't really an issue cause it's in my garage (but it makes a real racket) I'm wondering what option would be best wear and tear wise on the motors and the peristaltic tube.

Whichever option is most convenient for you will work. What you're moving is a small amount of liquid so the difference between running it every 12 hours vs. 24hr every other day is negligible.

But would it make a difference between every couple of hours and continuously?

My mechanical mind would assume running something gently for a long period would be better then running it hard for a short period when considering wear and tear on motor and dosing tubes.

If you were well over 500ml through the pump, let's say 5000ml then yes, it would make a difference. Mechanically, yes slower movement will put less wear on the part, but again, for the amount of liquid you're looking to move, the difference between either option is minimal.

Didn't want to start a new thread for this but is this noise normal? both motors make this noise and its quite loud. this is at a speed of 30ml/min

Ive done the same as you and I run slow and long, not fast and quick. In theory that puts less strain on pump and tubing, but I’ve no idea if this makes any real world difference.
And yes. They make a real racket.
Luckily I have a remote fish room.

yeah thank god the thing is in my garage.
I looked up some clips from the previous Maxi doser version and it seems much more quiet.
