This is so very true. I always come back to see your tank(s) when I get frustrated with mine to remind me of the end goal and potential.
Thanks.

It's a good thing to set "realistic" goals.

That's why i keep a realtime update on my systems. So you can see that most things are archievable and how they are done.

Once in a while you get recognition for your work.

I am very happy with this publication:

Glenn, I have, 109 gallon display tank and run the DSR method. I have had a problem creating a powerfilter using DIY so I’m just using filter socks at the moment. Do you sell a ready to use powerfilter? If not, would you mind recommending the exact parts I would buy on amazon to make one? I need the pvc pipe to fit on the pump and so forth.

Pump brand and model?

PVC pipe Diameter?

Reef safe filterwool brand?

Plastic screen brand to wrap over the filterwool?

Thank you kindly!

Thanks for the links. One thing I picked up on is that you are stating to use "filter wool" and that stuff isn't the same thing as "polyester batting"! It looks the same and you would think that polyester is fine but that isn't what you are saying. Plus, this isn't just a language translation issue.

With a little searching, I was able to find a couple of Filter Wool products online

https://www.amazon.com/Sera-Filter-...0013ZAESE/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8

https://www.amazon.com/Aquarium-Fil...ter+wool&qid=1556076268&s=pet-supplies&sr=1-2

I will find a good pump referencing the flows you mentioned.

Thanks Glenn, I appreciate it!

The sera will do fine.
Always use products made for aquaristic use. Some other products may have unwanted fire retardants.

Simple coral, yet so rewarding to have.
They never let you down when you rely on them to "scape" your tank.
But once in a while they need some pruning

Do you find that montipora corals kills other corals by covering them Glenn?

I’ve got one very similar and it ‘mummifies’ other corals, not all as some can seem to hold it off but others it just covers them
