Did you check to overflow and sump?

Yup....probably no reason to though. Overflow has a cover and top has a screen (RSR 170). But I didn't discount him apparating. He was paying a little too much attention during the Harry Potter marathon a few months back. :)

First reef tank and first fish loss. Points out another difference with freshwater - fish just don't dissappear in my freshwater tanks. They die sure, but it takes a while for the body to vanish. Tougher world in a reef tank, no doubt.

Just read there's a live action reboot of Little Mermaid in the works...who knew? Who's for a mantis shrimp Sebastian and getting David Fincher to direct? Let people see what crustaceans for what they are. That'll make sure there's no Nemo and Dory like demand on pet stores by parents trying to keep kids happy....of course it'll be rated R and give kids nightmares and probably ruin a good childhood memory for my daughter when I took to her to see it when she was 3 (and cute as a button singing in her room for months afterwards). Ok...I'll lighten up on the shrimp for her sake. It was just being what it is. :)

Back from amazing (old) boys ski trip in Utah.

Aside from my APEX energy bar going nuts on the last day the tanks did fine. Kinda deep in the favor bank to the wife for a while but still a good trade.

Both kid's universities called for a shut down yesterday so will have them home tonight. Love it for a week. After that...

And our town just reported the first inevitable case of Covid19 so the toilet paper is gone.

A virus that makes people compulsively buy toilet paper. That's a new one.

And a new disease is discovered that grows on mounds of stored moldy toilet paper mostly in old peoples homes.

I think I will drink my coffee and watch my fish and ignore the insanity for a while.

I converted my RODI filter into a bidet.

Clean and pure.

I am also weaving cat hair into small squares. It's very soft yet strong. Necessity is the mother of invention.
