Good Morning!

Well, without my fancy APEX energy bar (dead), it occurred to me that I finally have an excuse to replace my 4 yr old aqueon pro heaters with the cool new BRS heater/controllers that have been sitting on the shelf since they were released.

I like them. Such a comfort to know that I probably have about 2 months left on the warranty now that they are finally wet. But I do like them.

What is the oldest heater you have running right now? (Mixing station doesn't count.)

I got told I am just lucky by a reef squad member no less.

I accepted that and maybe even believed it sometimes when I had a small tank. Now I don't at all.

I'll leave it at - older than it should be. In Florida the heaters only get used for a few months of the year so I don't always change mine out as often as I should. :oops:

I just came back from a Supermarket. (There were no Supermodels there) but the shelves were full and you could buy "almost" anything you wanted. I don't panic, It's not in my DNA so I just got what I needed, mostly clams and mostly for my fish and dinner tonight.

But I seen a Mother there with an infant in the shopping cart and she had so much food surrounding this poor kid that all you could see was his head. :cool:

I have 5 in tanks. I have extras here. I do not change them unless they fail or show moisture inside. I have a controller so I would never know if they stick on.

So Thursday night wife and went to the LFS to pick up a 55 gallon tank (second tank). Would've mentioned it yesterday but I didn't want to interrupt the flow of a good toilet paper discussion. I had picked out the tank before but wanted her to see it as it's 48" long. I had thought maybe she had pictured a 29 gallon and she just wasn't seeing how big it was for the living room (her room choice btw). Nope, soon as we walk up to it she goes, "Yeah, that's what I pictured exactly. You pay, I'll bring the car around!".

This is going to be my experiment with a plenum I think I mentioned once before. Partly because I've always thought that was such a nice low maintenance solution, and partly because I'm just curious and why not? I'll probably start up another build thread.

Actually we tend to run out a lot and find ourselves using tissues for a day...and there are only two of us :D. I let my wife handle the paper products which she usually buys at the pharmacy when they are on sale. I normally shop about every other day for food, I just stocked up for a week or more.

Well the people with all the banners are coming after me and liking each others posts. I suppose it's time go run the sweeper or pet the cat.

Apparently I rocked the boat and I didn't even know we were at sea. So I get told I am just lucky and am making personal attacks. Ones that cant be quoted. I am demeaning people by not buying into group think even if I don't mention anything about anyone.

That's kind of scary.

This is probably another proscribed subject so If I get banned it was nice talking to you.

FWIW, I have banners AND I am here to say hi to you every morning. Of course, it probably helps that neither of us believe in group think, I admire the way that you take care of your tanks (whether or not I take care of mine the same way), and you have an amazing cat!

You won't get banned. Unfortunately the subject at hand is always a heated one. Anytime one of these threads come up they tend to go south which is unfortunate because people can't keep their emotions in check dispite the fact that it's a good topic for healthy debate. Don't sweat it, sometimes it's just better to step away from the key board and swiffer the cat...or something like what you said above ;) :)
