Always found the whole end of world - toilet paper interlock fascinating. Been seeing this for what now - 30-40 years? And in all that time, I cannot ever remember running out of toilet paper for more than a day or two in the stores. They make more, they're good at it. And sure as the sun comes up tomorrow the next reports in the news will be global toilet paper shortages.
From what I remember off top of my head (or should I say seat of my pants)
Fuel shortage - hoard toilet paper
Blizzard coming - hoard toilet paper
Stock
market downturn - hoard toilet paper
New Virus - hoard toilet paper
Three Mile Island - hoard toilet paper (or was that lead and iodine?)
Zombie Apocalypse - hoard toilet paper (ok, that probably isn't a true memory)
Toilet paper shortage - ?!?!?
And does anyone only have what they need in the house? There's a house wide alarm at my place when you start the last roll. :)
