Good Morning!

Scary stuff! When it’s cold like this, we change out their water a few times a day with hot water. They also get locked inside the top portion of the coop and we put in Snuggle Safe pads with them. The pads stay warm all night
The henhouse reads 30* but inside the coop with the pads is 46* right now.
Old chickens = VERY SPOILED!
Pads may be next.
Are you using red or white heat lamp? Im using white reptile lamp

We don’t use heat lamps because the hen house power is run off of an extension cord from the back of the house (GFI). Not sure if that length of cord could power the lamps without getting hot. Lighting out there is all low power usage LED.
I planning on having separate power run from the pole to the barn/ henhouse sometime this year. It will require a separate meter.
We have been using the Snuggle Safe pads for years. They hold heat all night long. We use 4 of them And wrap them in pillowcases. Two in each case. That way if they get soiled overnight, we can just wash the pillowcases. We microwave them all together for 16 minutes, flipping them half way. When we go out to let them out of the coop in the morning, the girls are always sitting with their breasts against them.
Nic and cozy! B8AFAC8D-53D2-4833-91C6-48C70F4A43DC.jpeg

Good morning everyone! Well after yesterday's game it appears that pigs do fly after all!

Good Monday morning...except it's Monday. Had a productive trip to the LFS store yesterday...more flake food, algae sheets, reef putty, and 2 turbo snails. Such an exciting life I lead! I wasn't shopping for a fish in particular, but I'm eventually going to add a little fish or two to the BioCube. I did notice the stock seemed way down, especially the tang stock. Obviously, I'm not going to put a tang in a 16 BioCube, but there were NO yellow tangs whatsoever. I don't recall in all my years of reefing ever not seeing yellow tangs in the store. I guess the Hawaiian ban has hit home. The usual owner wasn't there, so I didn't get the chance to talk with him about it.

Congrats to the Tampa Bay fans! I was hoping for a little more exciting game and sure wasn't expecting a rout! I was living in Florida at the time and remember when the Tampa Bay franchise came into existence. I'm still waiting for the Dolphins to make a comeback. Hey, Tom, want to move to Miami? :D

Good Morning Reefies.
why am I up. ;Yawn;Yawn;Yawn;Yawn

Probably same reason as me...send in the clowns....I mean coworkers! ;Clown Time to put out the fires from Friday. Why do people have meetings on Friday afternoon and come up with all these "brilliant" ideas?

my boss has a meeting scheduled for us every morning at 6:30.
I clock in at 6:45 so I don't have to attend.
I work hourly, so as I'm up and could be working, but as I don't particularly care for this supervisor, I'd rather lose 30/45 minutes of pay daily. there go a few more frags I coulda bought. good thing I stopped buying stuff when
going to the LFS only for fish food.

Morning all.
I got something at the LFS yesterday. I was discussing my Goni with the guy, showed him a video of my tank and we decided I should move it to higher flow because the polyps are not fully extending. Well, that would leave an unacceptable empty space in the corner of the tank.
Angela was looking at the corals and said why not get an Elegance. SOLD!
She bought it for me as an early Birthday gift.
picture from yesterday, still hadn’t fully opened. I’ll get a better pic today.

MAIL CALL!
Got some goodies in the mail today. For some strange reason, Amazon sent TWO Phosphate checkers and I was only charged for one of them.
First one of you who guesses the number ( between 1&10) gets it sent to them for free. No strings attached!

I I accidentally swallowed a bag of scrabble letters. My next trip to the bathroom could spell disaster!

Good Morning! It'd 9 this morning with no snow in the forecast. It's my Friday! Only 16 hours of work to go and then I'm off for 2 days. Other than the fact I have to come in on my day off for my monthly meeting with my clerks. Oh well. Have a great day and stay safe!

YYYYYYyyyaaaaaaAaaaAAaa I was up all night and I just now, at 8:30 am I got my wife the first shot appointment and it's only about 20 minutes away from our house. I can't believe I got it.
She has an auto immune disease and I was very worried she would get Covid. I am like a tank so don't care to much.

The rollout of this vaccine must have been done by chip monks. Very stupid chip monks. Maybe chip monks with mange or ich.
You go to a site and after jumping through all sorts of hoops, you put in a Zip code and 99% of the time it says "There are no appointments at this time"

But many times, it probably accidentally comes up "18 appoints available in the area you selected"
Then you click on that, pick the day (that they give you) then pick the time (that they give you)

Then you get all excited and it reads NO APPOINTMENTS AT THAT LOCATION.

They you start all over with a different pharmacy. You get the same run around there and you try a state run site.

"State and Run" shouldn't even be a thing because if the state "runs" it, it doesn't run.
Twice they had 2,000 people go to Jones beach in the middle of winter which is like a 50 mile long beach with the waves crashing near your car. Those people got there....... and ......and...they cancelled it. No explanation, just go home, nothing to see here.

State run sites were probably developed by people who believe in quarantining with medication  .

Glad to hear you finally got an appointment for her!!

I have a love hate relationship with my insurance company. Had to fight with them to get the MRI and now I found out they denied my shoulder surgery. “Not medically necessary “ WHAT?!! So I have to live in pain the rest of my life? Looks like I will be on the phone for awhile this morning!

Mrs Bugmaster......Oh Nnnoooooooo. That is terrible. I had 5 or 6 of those shoulder surgeries and I have great insurance. If I didn't like the shape of the scar, my insurance company would make them do it all over again. :p I could probably get free hair plugs or a tummy tuck

Depending on what you tore, mangled or broke, the recuperation can be a "little" painful at first.
Sort of like being in quarantine with a therapist bending your arm in ways it doesn't want to be bent.

If it were not for the Super model therapists, I wouldn't even go for therapy.

I truly hope you get that thing repaired quickly and are not in to much pain afterwards so you can get on those parallel bars. :D

I always love your funny antics to your responses!

Well that is the thing....I didn't tear anything yet. I have calcium buildup on both my shoulders and the right one is the worse. The left is rounded buildup so not as much pain with it. But the right one is "pointed" build up. If not fixed over time it will create tears in the rotor cuff. It is very painful and restricts my movement. After the MRI the doctor said the good news was my rotor cuff looks good but very inflamed. He said the calcium build up is too much to just remove it and he is going to have to cut off the whole tip of the shoulder bone to remove it all or the calcium would just grow back. But because of the procedure he will be doing I will need some repairs to the rotor cuff. According to the insurance report the doctor office called it "repair to the rotor cuff" and the insurance says MRI does not show tears in the rotor cuff to be repaired. I am hoping the doctor office just needs to reword/code the procedure.
Waiting for doctors office to call me back.

Mrs Bugmaster. That is to bad and I can see the insurance company saying that. They don't like expensive surgeries unless you actually destroyed something.
You may have to go bungee jumping but use a bungee cord a little long so your arm hits the bottom of the Grand Canyon or wherever you can bungee jump. (wear a helmit)

I tore my first rotator cuff surfing after a hurricane. I couldn't get off the wave and flew over the beach right into the road. I landed hands first and my right arm bone was sticking out of my back. I hate when that happens. My right arm was about a foot shorter than my left arm and it looked like my hand was connected to my shoulder. o_O

I wish you luck but unfortunately it may have to get worse for them to fix it. Of course you can tell them you can't pay them because you can't write a check unless it is fixed. ;)
