It'd be a lot cooler if it was Friday.. I'd say observation at least for the new fish. I'm a bit paranoid because of a full crash last year tho.

Good morning!!! So my tank is finally getting to the point where I can sit in front and just enjoy the view instead continually running through the "honey-do" list. Last few days I've been fixing myself a nice cocktail, pulling up a chair and just enjoying my tank. Last night, had martini in hand, sat down, sat back and....."What the heck is that? Aiptasia? No couldn't be, I QT'd everything for weeks" Sure enough, another milestone on my way to becoming a full fledged reefer - Aiptasia in my tank. No need to panic, only the one, but don't doubt there could be more. So this morning, I buried the little bugger in coral putty. Probably will get some peppermint shrimp along with the CUC update just in case.

Water cooler talk:
So the Indo ban has been lifted or so it says, maicultured only at this point. do you think prices will go back to pre ban or stay the same?

I would say it is hard to tell. The reason being that they have income for long on coral exports, that they probably have to play catch up. Also, I can't count on my fingers or toes how many people from Indonesia have added me as friend on Facebook. What that tells me is that they know what their corals are selling for. So we shall see.

Good morning! Our last full day in Turks & Caicos.

last two days been trying to get more snorkel trips in but 30knot winds not cooperating.

more rum by the pool I guess.

have to admit the shallow reefs here are in rough shape. Besides some nominal brains, there are hardly any stony corals left in the shallows.
Quite different from 10 years ago—and they’ve avoided most (not all) hurricanes since then.

I was reading another thread that said wholesalers are saying there will be 50 to 60% increase in prices. Time will tell I guess.

Enjoy your last day there. We were looking at going there for spring break, but then decided to just stay home this year.

We really like T&C. Just takes a few days to reset our service expectations to island time. And island prices too. Ouch.

We plan to eventually hit all the Caribbean Islands. Have been to Puerto Rico, Bahamas, Jamaica, and Aruba. So far Jamaica is my favorite. I love Hawaii too but from where I live it takes longer to get there and flights cost more.
