Good Morning!

Good Morning Friends!
It’s a warm 50-ish here this morning.
Angela’s Birthday is this Wed so I’m heading out today (last minute of course) to get her a gift. There is a Spa in Historic, old Downtown Dickson. I’m thinking of getting her a gift certificate for a “full package”.
I’m getting a little “antsy” about taking down the Christmas tree already. We have to move a desk into the bird room to make a space for it. The bird room is pretty crowded right now. She has been building a doll house for her friends Daughter for the past few months. That gets stored in there when she’s not working on it to keep the cats from destroying it. Now there is an extra desk and also the treadmill is in there. It’s a small room and it’s like walking through a maze.
Hope Y’all have a great day.
Stay Safe, Healthy & Happy!

Good Morning! the holidays have my schedule all wapperjawed. this is the first day 7:30 arrived with a desire to get up instead of roll over. Still way too many treats and candy laying around temptingly on the horizontal surfaces. A hermit in the sump shed yesterday; until i noticed the antennae sticking out of his shell i was bummed. it reminded me that growth just feels horrible to me when i have to go through it. leaving the 'too-small exoskeleton of my past' behind is natural.

@Ippyroy
every piece was $19.99 or less.
and I'm local so curbside pick up. :DV
Very nice!! I love the frozen apples. They are really pretty under the actinic lights. I looked around a little, but actually didn't buy this time (shocking). That's great you're local. I would love to be within curbside distance of a coral vendor...but that would also be highly dangerous! ;)

Good morning! Back to work, but for 3 days only. I can do it!

I did make a trip to the LFS yesterday and just picked up some snails. I wanted a couple of emerald crabs, but they were sold out! I found a little bit of bubble algae on a frag or two in the BioCube here and there. Bubble algae makes me totally crazy! It found its way into my 46 years ago and I finally was able to get rid of the stuff. I've been manually removing it in the BioCube, but I figured an emerald crab or 2 wouldn't hurt. I have a few pieces that I eventually want to move into the 90, but there better be NO bubble algae anywhere before I even think of moving anything!!

Good Morning! It's a toasty 6 this morning. Should be a gorgeous day and of course I forgot my sunglasses again. At least it's my Friday. I have to figure out why my DOS doesn't stay primed. I am somewhat confident I need some teflon tape. I have 2 or 3 roles floating around but can't find them. I scrubbed 3 of my rocks last night and will finish the rest this weekend then do a huge water change. Hopefully this will at least slow down the GHA. Have a great day and stay safe!

Mud here. 20 dog feet. Lucky's are like mops and bears feet are as big as the other 4 combined.

Rudy is doing well. Next is stitch removal in a few days.

My worm vats are now producing enough for all the fish to get some every day.

Good morning! We got a little bit of a snow yesterday, so I got some exercise other than lugging 5g jugs of sw up from the basement lol. I'll be testing out the new snow blower this afternoon tho since we're supposed to be getting some decent amounts this week. Can't wait actually, new power tool toys :p

You are always welcome to come out here and use your toys! It's a lot of fun here. You move it once, and the next day even more will be back.

I hear ya lol! My biggest gripe is the dang snow plows that dump several feet of snow at the end of the driveway and bury the mailbox. Lotsa exercise in winter time here that's for sure.

The City requires businesses to keep the fire hydrants free and clear. The city then just happens to cover them when plowing. The city has a grater with 3 blades. One on the front, one in the middle, and one on the side. They move all of the snow to the side which creates a nice 3 -4 foot berm in front of driveways and entrances. If they used it correctly it should move all of the snow to the middle and then they pick it up and move it out of town. I can't count how many times people have not been able to enter or leave their driveway or got high centered. Southerners truly do not understand how much work snow causes.

I woke up to that white powdery garbage on the ground
At least short work week

100% sir! But dang I do love how peaceful and quiet it gets when there's a good bit of snow on the ground.

I was doing my one year stint at college in '78. Northern Michigan U in Marquette.
that was the year of "The Big Blizzard". record snowfall. I think it was 378" for the season.
from what I remember, and it's sketchy as a lot of brain cells were lost that year and more in the following years,
they would plow the streets until the snow was about 8' high curb side. I believe it was curbside because I have some memory of my buddy using it as a bumper/rough locator, with his Ford Pinto, on our ride back to the dorm after closing the bar.
they would plow the softball fields at the park. load the 8' snow bank in to dump trucks and dump it at the ball field.

I also remember the campus creating 8/10' snow piles at the corners of the dorms. of course this lead to us students using the 3rd floor corner dorm windows to jump out of in to said snow pile.

don't know if I would have survived a full 4 years.

In case no one has been listening to you lately . . . .
