You’re STILL without power?Keeping fish is a stupid idea for a cave man
I wonder if the power will be back before the 6 inches of snow gets here

Good morning
i have a heated birdbath. keeps the water 35-37 degrees. just have to make sure it doesn't get empty. do chickens take water baths? starlings and sparrows do, doves don't seem interested and im thinking some birds only dust bathe.Mornin’ All!
got some maintenance done already this morning. Pulled out and washed the InTank basket, changed out media as necessary and did an h20 change. Making RO/DI as we speak.
More snow coming tonite and tomorrow.
The girls waterer is freezing every couple of hours so it’s almost time to refill it with hot water. They’re pretty smart. When I refill it, they go right for it and start drinking to warm themselves up.
Y’all have a great day and stay safe and warm.
No, chickens take dust baths. They dig a hole and then kick the dirt/dust everywhere. The inside of our henhouse is full of craters (like the moon) from them digging. They are almost to the point where they are digging under the walls. If they can get out, something can get in. I’m putting a floor in this Spring and going to cover it in linoleum so it can be hosed out. I’ll put something in there that I can fill with dirt so they can still bathe.i have a heated birdbath. keeps the water 35-37 degrees. just have to make sure it doesn't get empty. do chickens take water baths? starlings and sparrows do, doves don't seem interested and im thinking some birds only dust bathe.
i would be concerned with them scratching through the linoleumNo, chickens take dust baths. They dig a hole and then kick the dirt/dust everywhere. It’s amazing what they can dig through. There is a full metal roof on the henhouse and the only time the ground gets wet is when I pressure wash in there. It’s like concrete. I’d have to use a pick axe to dig in there yet they make a new hole weekly.i would be concerned with them scratching through the linoleum
Sorry for your loss.Sad day here!
RIP RASPUTIN!
I was only outside for about half hour clearing snow. When I came in I found my beautiful Six Lined Wrasse on the floor. Most well behaved Six Line I’ve ever had. He will be missed! :(
Sending good vibes my friend!Good morning all, or afternoon actually. I’m all prepped and ready for my surgery in an hour. Afternoon surgery sucks...no food or drinks all day. I get grumpy without my morning coffee. Not to mention food!
