Good morning! It’s currently 7° but it gets up to 30° today! So excited. It should reach the 40s by the end of the week. My hot water heater died again. I have to replace the heating elements. Can’t do it until tomorrow. Have a great day and stay safe!

When I got up at 6a it was 72F with a high of 86. It makes for tough sledding.

I'd melt if it was that hot here. I love that the highs here in the summer are usually in the 70s. Maybe a week or two of low 80s. The lows are never above 50 thankfully. I don't own an ac.

no ac here either. boiler heat so no duct work for ac.
I just hide in the basement with the tank if it gets to hot.
and the heat doesn't bother me much. just the humidity.

I love the fact that the humidity is so low here. Single digits some times. With 60 gallons of water in tanks my house humidity is around 40%. I grew up in the South, so happy to not deal with it anymore.

I had to run to dehumidifiers 24/7 from June till September last year. all the copper pipes were sweating. utility company loves me.

All I have to do is put a fan in the window and my humidity falls to 20% or lower. On the flip side, my heaters are baseboard style. My landlord pays a nice amount I am sure. That's why I do all of the maintenance around my cabin. Now to figure out why my heating elements for the water heater died in 2 years.

I ordered some snails, hermits and a fish this morning. A banded sleeper goby.
I found out what I do is called dump and pray. I have been doing it wrong. I forgot to pray all this time.
Anyone have a good new fish addition prayer they would like to share?

I might the only person bummed about getting a package delivered early. I ordered phyto and the fertilizer from Mercer of Montana on Friday afternoon. He dropped off the package right away with UPS. It has been sitting on my porch since 1pm. I won't get home until 11:30 tonight. The high today is 30. I now have a bottle of dead useless green stuff. I thought I ordered it late enough on Friday that he wouldn't ship it until today, I am off the next 2 days. So much for harvesting phyto. Lots of money in the trash.

I keep my live Phytoplankton in the fridge so it might be okay if it was packaged well enough to keep it from freezing. Keeping my fingers crossed for you! ;)

It should be around 17 when I get off. Hopefully it will be fine, but I am not going to hold my breath. Oh well. I knew I should have waited until Saturday to order, but his stuff sells out so fast.
