Good morning, Reefies!
Woke up to blinding light pouring in from the windows on the left of my house. My poor fish were all on the right side of the tank freaking out. We've never needed blinds there. I guess I do now.
Hubby went out last night and found a piece of root that had shooters coming off if it. After a few beers, he collected it and put it in a plant bucket. It is now sitting haphazardly on my back lanai. I guess we'll get some rooting hormone and appropriate planting medium - whatever that is - and see what we can do to give the tree a second life.
All of my appointments for today cancelled. So I need to go find something work related to do or else I am going to sit here, stare out that window and eat my weight in chocolate covered pretzels.
@Mike from TN Good Luck on the tree cutting. Those trees are stunning but they are like zombies! I have a hibiscus like that. Cut it back every year and in two months, it's twice the size. Good plan to prep the hot tub, sounds like you are going to need it later.

My Chromis are the signal guys. they notice the food first and then the other fish come across the tank from their favorite spots to feed,
My RBTA has moved 300 degrees around the rock looking for a good spot since i changed the lights. Funny, but he seems to be maintaining his depth as he goes around, about 3 inches lower than his spot under the twin Current USA LED's. He probably is not finished moving.

This morning on my beach walk I saw something I have never seen there before. No, Not Angelina Jolie.
Two deer.

We have deer all over the place and I counted 12 of them on my way to the beach, but I didn't think they could get down this loose sand hill that has 176 stairs on it. (The deer are not allowed to go down the stairs)

There are two of them here. They were down on the beach when I got down there, maybe looking for clams or amphipods which they may have seen me doing a few times. :oops:

That hill is so steep that even ants have a hard time getting up there, but when I got closer, they went up as if they were on the escalator in Macys 34th street store at Christmas time. :cool:

Looks like another pink sky, hazy day here (well, practically everywhere) today.
I think I spent a little too much time outdoors yesterday. Sucking on cough drops to soothe the scratchy throat.

Good morning! I noticed the air outside yesterday...yuck! I may do a walk now, run errands, and then stay inside. I got my magic CVS distilled water and will play with the Hanna calcium checker some more...may even change the RO/DI filters. I hope you all have a great Friday!
