Good morning. Still waiting for the lawn care manager to come! Had pool company come yesterday. They said with rain forecasted and dropping temp that if not fixed right away we risk water getting in pipes and freezing the whole system and potentially replacing whole pool. So $500 later we a have a complete new manifold and is all fixed.

Good Morning! It's a brisk 8 degrees this morning. It is supposed to snow the next couple of days. I guess I should put the smoker away for the season and put up the screen around my porch so I don't have to shovel again this winter. It worked great last winter. Have a great day and stay safe!

Come on where’s your sense of adventure? You can smoke in winter For my husband’s job we did a 3 year job assignment in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. We arrived over Thanksgiving weekend with 2 feet of snow already on the ground and -34 degrees. Our next door neighbor was outside grilling! He was dressed in a big parka coat and gloves just grilled away. True story!

Good morning everyone! I love cold weather I don't mind long winters, but wow is that cold for the middle of November. I think your winters would be too much for me. Moving to Florida 20 years ago probably hasn't helped.

Reminds me of this story...we waited until my daughter was 7 to go skiing with her because we were afraid it might be too cold for a child who has never seen weather colder than the 40's and we would be stuck inside for a week. We took her to Colorado and the first morning she comes in early to wake us up wearing her pajamas and no shoes. She said, "the thermometer says its -3 degrees, but I've been playing on the balcony and it's fine. Can we go out now?" Then I was the one who wanted to stay inside.

kids are so resilient. I used to never care about how cold or hot it was outside. Now I'm wondering how I became so sensitive.

I am actually really warm for this time of the year. We were almost 40 yesterday. We usually don't see above 30 from November thru March.

I'll still use my smoker, but the landlord pays someone to plow in front of my cabin and I get about 8 feet of snow right where I store it to use. I just have a very small porch, maybe 4ft x 4ft, so storing it there year round is out of the question. Between the plow truck and the snow falling off of my roof it would be crushed in no time. The secret to smoking in below zero temps is to put a couple of welder's blankets on the grill to help keep the heat in. It can still be very hard to get the temps up above 300, sometimes 250 is a challenge.

Good morning. Woke at 4. Time for a pill. Rub the cats belly. Put the tools away from making the car. Open the boxes and put the bottles on the doser. Rub the cats belly. Make coffee. Wash the mop. Put water in the freshwater tank.
Clean the skimmer. Test my blood sugar....

By the time Jill gets up It's nap time.
