Good Morning!

Good Morning! i was going North a few miles for a weekend retreat but they are snowed in so that was cancelled. the weather is not supposed to get out of the 30's for a week so my usual plan of just letting the stuff melt on its own is not a good plan this time, i could try just rutting the car to the road but that doesn't work well when there is enough to get high centered like today. well the spiritual retreat time will be well spent with the shoveling, omm, scoop, omm, throw. well done grasshopper, wax on wax off. etc. im a lucky guy.

it was powder until i got close to the street where the plow had thrown partial-salt-melt-compressed stuff into the driveway.

My two Orchid areas.

Beautiful!

This is my area right now. Don’t mind the water jug. Also you can’t see to many of the orchids now as I put them in the center when we covered. So I need to spread them out again

I have lost count

It's interesting that that green pot has legs. That makes it easy for it to find the right spot in your garden all by itself. :p

Good morning everyone! I took a short walk yesterday afternoon and noticed that the Osprey flying overhead was carrying something. As it circled around toward its nest I saw that it had an 8" silvery fish with some red markings. I was running through the catalog in my head trying to ID the finish and thinking about what has small, silvery scales; has red markings; is that shape; can reach that length; lives in this range; etcetera. I decided that it was most likely an American Shad (a silvery fish that meets those criteria) with talon incisions (red markings). It is always interesting to watch Osprey attempt to maneuver when they attempt to carry something bigger like a foot-long bullhead catfish or pleco - it is less graceful. On the other hand, it is amazing to watch their precision when a fish wriggles free several hundred feet in the air and then the bird snatches it out of mid air. Nature.

Good morning. Going to club this afternoon.

This reminds of my neighbor, has a big koi pond and his fish kept disappearing. He set up a camera and saw a blue herring taking his fish. Now he has a fake alligator in the pond. lol

Good Morning All!
Headed out to Opry Mills Mall this morning in Nashville. Angela has a gift certificate for new cowGIRL boots from the Boot Barn, I want to look for ammo at Bass Pro and then lunch at The Aquarium restaurant. Very cool place with a giant reef (fake corals) that the girls dressed as mermaids swim in with the fish. I’ll get pictures!
We we’re going to spend the day doing chores today (major hen house cleaning and parrot cage scrubbing) but tomorrow is supposed to be 20+* warmer so we switched our days around. Chores tomorrow!
Still covered in ice here because it never got above 25* yesterday But the roads that got some sun are clear.
Hope Y’all have a great day.

Good morning! Paul, your osprey story reminds me of when we used to live on the Chesapeake Bay. Every now and then we would find a fish that was just too big to carry dropped in the middle of our yard. Unfortunately, our dogs would often find it first. Nice weather here today. It's Florida cold, so in the 50's-60's.
Have a great day everyone!
